Job summary

Turning Point Scotland is seeking an Assistant Service Co-ordinator in Forfar to support individuals with complex needs, promoting independence and meaningful activity. You will be trained and supported by a friendly management team while developing new skills and taking on rota-based duties.

  • Encourage personal outcomes in daily life, including safety, activities, health and relationships.
  • After induction, manage the project autonomously as needed.

About You

You will have a genuine commitment to use your skills and experience to support people to live their best lives. You will be supported by an incredibly approachable management team, allowing you to expand on your existing knowledge whilst developing new skills.You will work flexibly on rota.

You will have experience of supporting people with learning disabilities, forensic supports, coaching and developing staff.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity as a first step into a managerial role with Turning Point Scotland where no two days are the same!

As an Assistant Service Co-ordinator, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing. After a period of induction, you will be able to work autonomously in managing the project.

About Us – Angus - Forfar

Turning Point Scotland’s Angus service is a support service that provides support to individuals with complex needs including learning disability and autism. We provide support to people in their own homes living in the community and support them with every day opportunities that promotes independence and choice.

We strive to enable people to access everyday life experiences including access to education, employment/volunteering and social activities. We will also provide support with developing relationships and maintaining a home. We work in partnership with health teams, social work teams, Community justice teams, Police and advocacy.
