Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an Assistant SENDCo for a Birmingham school committed to academic excellence and inclusion. This permanent, full-time role runs on a term-time basis for 39 weeks per year to support SEND provision leadership and EHCP reviews.

You will work with the Inclusion Team to deliver daily SEND and inclusion arrangements and assist with line management of Teaching Support Staff, with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities.
• Knowledge and experience of EHCPs and contributing to reviews
• Strong understanding of current SEND policy and practice

Responsibilities

• Support the leadership and management of SEND provision.
• Assist with daily SEND and inclusion arrangements.
• Undertake EHCP reviews and revisions.
• Share responsibility for the line management of Teaching Support Assistants.
