Job summary

Philip Morant School and College in Colchester is seeking an Assistant SENCO to join its dedicated SEND team. The role supports EHCPs, plan reviews, and interventions, working 37 hours per week across term-time and non-pupil days within a large secondary and post-16 provision. You will collaborate with staff to deliver inclusive education and enable students with SEND to achieve their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience of and a passion for supporting students with SEND needs within school.
• Ability to use initiative and work without direct supervision, taking responsibility for tasks.
• The ability to prioritise tasks to support the progress and wellbeing of all learners.

Responsibilities

• One Plan Review meetings
• EHCP Annual reviews
• Corresponding with external agencies, parents and staff as necessary
• Mentoring SEND students
• Coordinating and running interventions such as ELSA, Forest school, Autistic and OK
