Job summary

Snows Motor Group, Southampton Vauxhall franchise, is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager to drive sales at the Southampton dealership. You will identify prospects, understand customer needs and guide them to the right product to close the sale.

You will work toward agreed targets, have knowledge of finance and insurance products, generate sales from prospecting and follow-ups, mentor new team members, and deputise for the Sales Manager when needed.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of sales with finance/insurance experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid driving licence is essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with automotive finance/insurance products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop prospects and guide customers to the right product to close a sale.
• Work toward agreed targets to deliver income goals for the team and dealership.
• Explain and sell finance and insurance features and benefits.
• Generate sales through prospecting and follow-ups using the existing database.
• Use digital marketing and phone to obtain appointments and nurture leads.
• Mentor and train Sales Team members and share product knowledge.
• Promote strong rapport to build long-term customer relationships.
• Deputise for the Sales Manager in their absence.

Your day

As Assistant Sales Manager, youwill identify and develop prospects, working with individual customers to understand their needs and guide them towards the most appropriate product in order to agree the sale.

Your day will include:

• Working towards the agreed set targets which will deliver the desired income goals for both the Team and the Dealership
• Have a good knowledge of finance and insurance products and be able to explain and sell the features and benefits
• To generate more sales through a combination of prospecting and customer follow ups via the existing database
• To identify "hot" prospects and plan all future contact in a structured manner that will help progress them to the next stage in the sales process and ultimately on to making a sale
• To use digital marketing and effective use of the telephone to seek and obtain appointments
• To assist in the training on the various brand and group systems as well as mentor new members of the Sales Team
• To promote product knowledge with the sales team at every opportunity
• To establish a good rapport, that will encourage and promote the development of a long-term relationship with customers and prospects
• Deputise in the absence of the Sales Manager when not in the business

• Valid driving licence
• Proven track record of sales, accompanied with financial and insurance solutions
• In-depth knowledge of financial systems including, but not limited to: Connect online, TCF SAF and Manufacturer systems

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 08:30 - 18:00 (with 1 hour for lunch), Standard day off in the week.

Saturday 08:30 - 17:00 (with 1 hour for lunch)
