Job summary

Hawksmoor Manchester is recruiting an Assistant Reservations Manager to support the Reservations Manager and lead the reservations and host team. You will welcome guests, manage bookings, and coordinate seating during service to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Reservations Manager with day-to-day running of reservations and host function.
• Help lead and motivate the host and reservations team during service.
• Manage bookings, walk-ins and waiting lists to support smooth service.
• Welcome guests, oversee seating plans and assist cloakroom/ arrivals.
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and kitchen to keep service flowing.
• Handle guest queries and special requests with confidence and care.

As Assistant Reservations Manager at Hawksmoor, you’ll support the Reservations Manager in leading the reservations and host team, ensuring every guest experience is warm, seamless and well organised. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the restaurant. You’ll be welcoming guests, managing reservations and flow during service, and supporting the team on the floor rather than sitting behind a desk.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Reservations Manager with the day-to-day running of the reservations and host function
• Help lead and motivate the host and reservations team during service
• Manage bookings, walk-in and waiting lists to support smooth service
• Welcome guests, oversee seating plans and support cloakroom and arrivals
• Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen to keep service flowing

• Step up to lead the function when the Reservations Manager is not on site
