Job summary

Linxon is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the Didcot project on-site. reporting to the Project Manager, you will drive cost control, contract administration, and commercial performance for a high-value 400kV substation project delivered under NEC 4 Option C.

You will monitor costs, manage payments, prepare forecasts, and collaborate with the client and subcontractors to maintain accurate records and maximize value.

Qualifications

• Experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong NEC 4 Option C contract knowledge.
• Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with NEC/contract admin software such as CEMAR or Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs to keep the project within budget.
• Administer NEC 4 Option C contracts and manage compensation events and variations.
• Prepare cost forecasts and CVRs; highlight risks and opportunities.
• Produce regular financial reports and inform stakeholders of performance.
• Collaborate with client, subcontractors, and procurement teams.
