Job summary

Linxon is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support cost control, contract management and commercial success on a 400kV substation project under NEC 4 Option C. The role reports to the commercial manager and offers a hybrid work model with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will monitor costs, manage payments, administer NEC 4 Option C, and help with risk and value management while producing regular CVRs and forecasts for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Essential: Large-scale construction or infrastructure project experience.
• Essential: Strong knowledge of NEC 4 contracts, particularly Option C.
• Essential: Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
• Essential: Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Cost management: monitor and control project costs and manage payments.
• Contract administration: administer NEC 4 Option C and manage Compensating Events and variations.
• Risk and value management: identify and mitigate commercial risks and assist value engineering.
• Reporting: provide CVRs and forecasts and communicate financial performance to stakeholders.
• Collaboration: liaise with client, subcontractors and internal teams, support procurement actions.
