Job summary

Linxon in Glasgow is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a 400kV substation project. You will control costs, manage NEC 4 Option C contracts, and drive commercial success with stakeholders.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will prepare forecasts, review payments, and support risk and value management across the project. Hybrid work model and career progression available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC 4 contracts, particularly Option C.
• Excellent financial management and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs to ensure delivery within budget.
• Administer NEC 4 Option C contracts and manage compensation events and variations.
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial risks; assist value engineering.
• Provide regular CVRs, forecasts and financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client, subcontractors and procurement to manage relationships and subcontractor appointments.
