Job summary

Red King Resourcing is supporting a well-established construction client in Oxford to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. You will assist with budgets, cost plans and commercial administration across refurbishment and fit-out projects.

Working alongside experienced teams, you will gain hands-on experience in procurement, tendering, valuations, variations and final accounts while developing your knowledge of contracts and cost management in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Assistant Quantity Surveyor with some construction experience.
• Working towards, or pursuing, a professional qualification such as RICS.
• Experience within refurbishment, fit-out or general building construction would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans
• Supporting the procurement and subcontractor tendering process
• Reviewing subcontractor quotations and preparing comparisons
• Assisting with valuations, variations and change control
• Monitoring project costs and maintaining accurate commercial records

My well established construction client specialising in refurbishment and fit-out projects, is actively looking to appoint a Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Oxford.

The Role

Working alongside experienced commercial and project management professionals, you will support the financial and commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
