Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the Capital Delivery team in managing infrastructure projects and programmes. You will work with a Senior PM and a range of specialists to deliver safely and sustainably, meeting time, cost and quality targets.

Based at Maple Lodge with hybrid working and a 36-hour week, you may lead small projects or support larger programmes, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills to coordinate time, cost, risk and quality.
• Effective communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Understanding of project controls, governance, risk management and assurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist or lead delivery of projects or work packages from brief to handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, sustainably and on time, within budget and quality targets.
• Monitor progress and report on cost, schedule, quality, risks and issues.
• Support development of briefs, business cases and delivery plans.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and partners to keep activities moving.
• Support management and assurance of contractor work-orders.
