Job summary

Little London Academy is seeking an Assistant Principal for SEND to lead inclusive practices and drive outcomes across the school. Based in Leeds, you will join The GORSE Academies Trust and work with a high-performing Senior Leadership Team to shape strategic direction and improve life chances for pupils.

The role offers leadership development, collaboration with cross-trust colleagues and a commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Have genuine desire to make a difference in life chances and education.
• Be hardworking, dedicated and willing to embrace new challenges.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
• Qualified SENDCo or undertaking NPQ for SEND.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• EYFS experience is advantageous.
• Proven track record of leading a core subject and improving outcomes.
• Clear vision, energy and commitment to school life.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, staff, parents, external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead SEND provision across the school to raise outcomes.
• Coach and mentor staff to develop teaching and learning.
• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to shape strategic direction.
