Job summary

McLaren Automotive Limited is expanding its PMO, seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support McLaren Racing across commercial, marketing and business performance projects. You will help implement PMO methodologies, maintain project standards and improve stakeholder communication.

You will manage project tasks, identify risks, and contribute to monthly PMO reporting, working with partnerships, licensing, brand growth and fan engagement teams. APM PPQ/PMQ or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• More than three years of project management experience.
• APM PPQ or PMQ or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering commercial or marketing projects in areas such as sponsorship, licensing, digital marketing, brand experience or creative services would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium projects from ideation through to closure, monitoring progress to ensure milestones and quality standards are achieved.
• Track project performance against timing and scope, reporting variances to the Senior Manager of PMO.
• Support the Finance Business Partner in tracking financial performance against budget and escalating variances.
• Assist with project scoping and feasibility, contributing to project proposals, documentation, plans and reporting.
• Manage and escalation project risks and issues as required.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Support communication with internal and external stakeholders, helping to resolve concerns.
• Help implement PMO process improvements and changes, providing clear updates and responding to stakeholder queries.
• Support the development and rollout of new programme and project governance frameworks, with a focus on the commercial and business performance departments.
• Gather updates from multiple stakeholders for the monthly PMO reporting process.
