Job summary

McLaren Racing is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the PMO and support delivery of key commercial, marketing and business performance projects. You will help implement PMO methodologies, maintain project standards and enable effective communication between stakeholders.

You will work closely with partnerships, licensing, brand growth and fan engagement teams, assisting with project execution, tasks, risks and monthly reporting.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of project management experience with a recognized qualification (APM PPQ/PMQ or equivalent).
• Experience delivering commercial or marketing projects such as sponsorship, licensing, digital marketing, brand projects.
• Strong relationship-building, business acumen, adaptability and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium projects from ideation through to closure, monitoring progress to ensure milestones and quality standards are achieved.
• Track project performance against timing and scope, reporting variances to the Senior Manager of PMO.
• Support the Finance Business Partner in tracking financial performance against budget and escalating variances.
• Assist with project scoping and feasibility, contributing to project proposals,Documentation, plans and reporting.
• Manage and escalate project risks and issues as required.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
• Support communication with internal and external stakeholders, helping to resolve concerns.
• Help implement PMO process improvements and changes, providing clear updates and responding to stakeholder queries.
• Support the development and rollout of new programme and project governance frameworks, with a focus on the commercial and business performance departments.
• Gather updates from multiple stakeholders for the monthly PMO reporting process.
