Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Power Transmission and Distribution team on the Operational Team based in Elgin. You’ll help deliver complex projects, manage resources, budgets, and maintain strong stakeholder communication.

Key duties include coordinating personnel, reporting, and ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery. The role requires proactive problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams and budgets in complex projects.
• Demonstrated problem-solving with a solutions-based approach.
• Experience coordinating with stakeholders, farmers, landowners and clients.
• Proficient IT skills and attention to detail in reporting and documentation.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries, etc.).
• Prepare internal and external reports and liaise with stakeholders.
• Collate information and complete project-related applications.
• Follow Balfour Beatty processes and procedures.
• Provide regular client update reports and attend scheme progress meetings.
• Conduct periodic project reviews and update the Digital Briefcase.
• Ensure reports inform decisions, cost control, and alignment with strategy.
• Support safety and environmental initiatives and RAMS reviews.
