Job summary

Amey is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Engineer to join our Advisory team, delivering mechanical building services solutions across diverse UK projects. You will assist in designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will contribute to schemes that meet quality, cost and programme objectives, undertake site visits, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while progressing towards professional registration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
Understanding of engineering theory and practical application.
Knowledge of mechanical building services design principles and standards.
Familiarity with CDM Regulations and risk assessment concepts.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in producing mechanical building services designs, calculations and drawings.
Support preparation of project documentation and specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Assist with design and coordination of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Contribute to delivering schemes on time, within budget and to quality standards.
