Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Assistant Manager for Vocational Training in Hemel Hempstead. You will lead and develop the vocational training delivery team within a centre-based FE site, coordinating with the Education Manager to maximise contract performance and learner outcomes.

You will deliver teaching sessions, manage performance through appraisals and targets, and drive curriculum development that meets learners and employers' needs.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Teaching Qualification to apply
• Level 5 or above Teaching Qualification
• Must hold a recognised Assessor award
• Experience in Curriculum development/Education management and quality systems
• Experience of team management
• Confident and professional with ability to inspire and motivate people
• Hold or be willing to work towards an IQA qualification

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Vocational training delivery team with Education Manager to oversee site performance and contract performance.
• Deliver teaching sessions as required.
• Manage performance of the delivery team through appraisals, 1:1s and target setting.
• Oversee curriculum development meeting learner and employer needs.
• Support preparation of annual SARs, QIPs and budget.
• Develop a standardised learning and skills programme for learners, employers and regulatory requirements.
• Act as Education Manager in their absence.
• Maintain and develop internal and external partnerships.

Salary: up to £38,000 + fantastic benefits package

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Job duties

• As an Assistant Manager, based within a further education site, you will lead and develop the Vocational training delivery team, in conjunction with the Education Manager, to oversee site performance and maximise contract performance.
• Delivery of teaching sessions as required.
• Performance management of the delivery team through appraisals, 1:1's and target setting.
• Responsible for curriculum development and ensuring it meets the needs of learners and employers.
• Support with the preparation of annual SAR's, QIPs and budget.
• Development of a standardised learning and skills programme, which meets the needs of learners, employers and regulatory requirements.
• Deputise in the absence of the Education Manager.
• Maintain and develop partnerships (internal and external).

Requirements

• Candidates must hold a level 5 Teaching Qualification to apply
• Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 5, or above
• Must hold a recognised Assessor award.
• Experience of Curriculum development/education management, ensuring that quality systems and processes are in place to maximise learner outcomes.
• Experience of team management.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised IQA qualification.
