Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Limited in Hemel Hempstead is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the Vocational Training delivery team and drive high-quality education services on-site.

You will oversee teaching delivery, curriculum development, performance management, and partnership development to maximise learner and employer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
• Must hold an Assessor Award.
• Experience in curriculum development/education management to maximise learner outcomes.
• Experience in team management.
• Willingness to work towards an IQA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Vocational training delivery team with the Education Manager to maximise contract performance.
• Deliver teaching sessions as required and monitor learner progress.
• Performance manage the delivery team through appraisals and targets.
• Oversee curriculum development to meet learner and employer needs.
• Support SARs, QIPs and budget preparations.
• Develop standardised learning programmes aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Deputise for the Education Manager when needed.
• Maintain and develop internal and external partnerships.

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Vocational Training

Location: Hemel Hempstead - Centre based

Salary: up to £38,000 + fantastic benefits package

Type: Full Time,Permanent

Role duties

• As an Assistant Manager, based within a further education site, you willlead and develop the Vocational training delivery team, in conjunction with the Education Manager,to oversee site performance and maximise contract performance.
• Delivery of teaching sessions as required.
• Performance management of the delivery team though appraisals,1:1's and target setting.
• Responsible for curriculum development andensuring it meets the needs of learners and employers.
• Support with the preparation of annual SAR's, QIPsand budget.
• Development of a standardisedlearning and skills programme, which meets the needs of learners, employers and regulatory requirements.
• Deputisein the absence of the Education Manager.
• Maintain and develop partnerships (internal and external)

Criteria

• Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 5, or above
• Must hold a recognised Assessor award.
• Experience of Curriculum development/education management, ensuring that quality systems and processes are in place to maximise learner outcomes.
• Experience of team management.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised IQA qualification.
