Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking an Assistant Manager to act as the GM's right hand, running shifts, leading the team on the floor and stepping up to manage in the GM's absence. You will help set the tone for service, guest care and teamwork, with plans to learn what it takes to run a restaurant.

You’ll contribute to local ideas, control costs, and develop a high-performing team as the estate refreshes over 18 months. This is a pathway to general management.

Qualifications

• Experience leading shifts in busy hospitality and guest-focused environments.
• Understand how sales and costs drive the restaurant's performance.
• People-first approach with coaching skills and team development.
• Attention to food quality and exceptional hospitality details.
• Ambition to eventually run a Prezzo Italian restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts from the front, set pace and hospitality standards.
• Build a connected team and leave lasting guest impressions.
• Recruit, train and develop staff; manage rotas with cost in mind.
• Be visible on the floor; ensure consistent service and meals.
• Run the restaurant when the GM is absent and own daily decisions.
• Maintain food safety, safety compliance, stock and cash handling.
