Job summary

Prezzo Italian is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead shifts, coach a high-performing team, and support the General Manager in driving sales and guest satisfaction. You’ll be on the floor with a hands-on approach, ensuring every guest leaves feeling valued and looked after, while mentoring colleagues and stepping in when the GM is absent.

You’ll contribute to local initiatives, manage costs, and uphold brand standards as the restaurant grows with a focus on consistency, training, and career

Qualifications

• Experience leading shifts in busy, guest-focused hospitality.
• Commercial awareness: understand what drives sales and costs.
• People-first approach: coach in the moment and bring out the best in others.
• Pride in food and exceptional hospitality: notice details and care when something isn't right.
• Ambition: want to run your own restaurant one day and learn how.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts from the front, setting the pace and the standard for hospitality.
• Build a team that connects with guests and maintains high service standards.
• Help recruit, train and develop the team, and manage rotas balancing demand and wellbeing.
• Be a visible floor presence and ensure consistent guest impressions.
