Job summary

Five Guys in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead daily operations on the shop floor and support the General Manager in delivering top-quality burgers and service. You will coach a team, manage performance, and ensure an engaging, clean dining area while driving profitable results.

You will foster a positive, energetic environment, exemplify our values, and lead with integrity while handling guest feedback and ensuring operational excellence across shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of management experience in a high-volume setting.
• Proven ability to drive guest satisfaction and Mystery Shopper results.
• Experience with P&L, labour control, and inventory/waste management.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift managers and crew on the dining floor and line.
• Support the General Manager to deliver burgers, fries, and a superior customer experience.
• Create a positive working environment aligned with company values.
• Ensure guests are delighted and handle complaints openly and promptly.
• Oversee shift operations, long-term planning, and cost control.
• Own the P&L responsibilities and drive sales growth.
