Job summary

Berro Lounge is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead on-shift operations, coach staff and ensure guests receive a warm welcome. You’ll support the General Manager with rostering, stock, and KPI tracking while building strong local relationships.

The role offers progression within Loungers, with a competitive base salary, bonus and overtime, plus a focus on developing people and maintaining outstanding guest service.

Qualifications

• Leads by example on the floor and motivates the team.
• Skilled in running shifts end-to-end, including briefs and cash handling.
• Creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests and regulars.
• Able to recruit and onboard new starters effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate shifts, from pre-shift briefings to end-of-shift debriefs.
• Coach the team with regular feedback to maintain high standards.
• Understand rotas, stock, labour, KPIs and support the GM when needed.
• Handle customer complaints with good judgement and maintain standards.
• Support recruitment and help new starters hit the ground running.
