Greene King’s Fromebridge Mill in Whitminster is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead a busy, high-volume pub operation. You will work closely with the General Manager, manage busy shifts, and drive service excellence across food and drink.

Join a riverside pub with carvery and varied customer occasions, and help grow the business while developing teams and delivering great hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or similar hospitality management role.
• Experience working in a busy pub, restaurant or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Strong people leadership skills and the confidence to lead an established team.
• A hands-on approach — you're happiest working alongside your team rather than sitting behind a desk.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate people.
• A strong focus on customer experience and service standards.
• Commercial awareness and the drive to help grow the business.
• The ability to stay calm, organised and positive when the pub is busy.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and the ambition to progress your career with Greene King

Responsabilités

• Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub.
• Taking ownership of busy shifts and confidently leading the team.
• Working alongside the team on the floor and being a visible, hands-on leader.
• Coaching, motivating and developing our established team.
• Maintaining consistently high standards across service, food, cleanliness and compliance.
• Creating a great customer experience across our busy food and drink operation.
• Helping drive sales and identifying opportunities to grow the business.
• Building strong relationships with our customers and local community.
• Supporting the team through busy food services and peak trading periods.
• Helping make the most of our carvery, food offer and varied customer occasions.
• Stepping up and supporting the General Manager whenever required.
