Job summary

Starbucks is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performing team in a busy store. You will support day-to-day operations, stand in for the Store Manager, and ensure exceptional customer experiences while achieving targets.

You will coach and develop colleagues, manage shifts around availability, maintain store standards, handle inventory and safety, and drive promotional activity. This role offers contracted hours and a clear path for career progression within a global brand.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience preferred in hospitality, retail, or customer-focused environments.
• Strong leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team as second-in-command, creating a positive working environment.
• Coach, develop, and inspire team members to grow and perform at their best.
• Plan shifts and rosters in line with budgets and labour targets, promote promotions and customer experience.
• Recognise and celebrate team achievements to drive engagement and performance.
• Take ownership of store operations in the Store Manager’s absence while maintaining Starbucks standards.
• Manage stock, inventory control, and reporting to minimise waste and ensure availability.
• Maintain high store standards for merchandising, presentation, and food safety.
• Champion health, safety, and cash-handling procedures to the highest standards.
