Costa Coffee Assistant Manager position in Borehamwood offers hands-on leadership to a friendly team, driving a top coffee experience. You will support the Store Manager, oversee daily operations and staff scheduling, and push sales while maintaining brand standards.

You'll develop staff through training, manage stock and finances, and ensure hygiene and safety checks are consistently met. A proactive, customer-focused attitude is essential for success.

Formación

• Experience in a supervisory/management role in a coffee shop or branded restaurant.
• Extensive knowledge of Hygiene, Health & Safety and branded audits.
• Positive, engaging personality with a can-do attitude.
• Strong communication skills with customers and teammates.
• Courage and confidence to lead and make decisions.
• Ability to multitask and stay hardworking under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Store Manager and deputise in their absence.
• Efficiently manage store operations to deliver the best coffee experience.
• Plan and coordinate weekly rotas, shifts and staff holidays.
• Drive sales growth by working with the team on key KPIs.
• Financial management of the store P&L focused on productivity and gross profit.
• Develop the team and provide in-store and online training.
• Motivate, coach and manage the team to maintain service standards.
• Manage stock and ordering to ensure 100% supply for customers.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and health & safety checks.

About the role:

It is all about coffee, but not any coffee it's Costa Coffee! You'll perfect your craft through amazing training, taking care to make every customer experience an awesome one. As a Costa Coffee Assistant Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

• Supporting your Store Manager in delivering the below and deputising for the store manager in their absence.
• Efficient management of the store operation, ensuring we deliver the best coffee experience to our customers.
• Plan and coordinate weekly, rotas, shifts and staff holidays.
• Driving sales growth through working with your team to maximise key sales areas and KPIs.
• Effective financial management of your store P&L working to productivity and gross profit targets.
• Developing your team and ensuring that all team members receive the best training in-store supplemented through the online learning platform.
• Support your team by motivating, coaching, engaging and managing your team to drive their performance and deliver excellent customer service and store standards.
• Manage the stock and order systems for food & consumables ensuring that the store has 100% supply of items for the customer.
• Ensure the store is operated adhering to all company standards, polices & procedures
• Ensure that all brand standards are delivered throughout the shift to ensure complete customer satisfaction - completing all relevant checks, standards, food & health and safety checks and taking necessary remedial action or escalating as required.
• Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

What we are looking for:

• A great Assistant Manager candidate having previous experience within a supervisory/management capacity either within a coffee or branded restaurant environment. You will have extensive knowledge and experience of Hygiene, Health & Safety and branded audits.
