Job summary

Costa Coffee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Gravesend, United Kingdom. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure the store runs efficiently, maintain Costa standards, and deliver an outstanding coffee experience for every customer.

You will lead and develop the team, manage daily operations, and translate KPI insights into action. A passion for coffee and people, plus supervisory experience in hospitality or retail, is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or retail environments.
• Supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Barista Maestro accreditation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to deliver an exceptional Costa Coffee experience.
• Oversee daily store operations including cash handling, stock control, and adherence to brand standards.
• Monitor KPI reports and translate insights into daily/weekly actions.
• Coach and develop team members, delegating tasks and ensuring excellent customer service.

A bit about the role

Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll help make sure that everything about the store is efficient and effective. That means getting involved in operations, store and company culture, customer relationships, and of course, the coffee. This is going to be so much fun.

What’s involved?

• Becoming a brand ambassador and helping us shine
• Leading the team to deliver an unbeatable coffee experience for every customer
• Overseeing all aspects of operations, from cash and stock management to Costa standards, policies & procedures to in-store marketing and more
• Monitoring the store KPI report and translating it into daily and weekly actions
• Managing, growing, coaching, supporting and delegating to the team – all that lovely people stuff
