Clarks in Kingston upon Thames is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the retail team and daily store operations. You will drive customer service excellence, coaching colleagues, and ensuring loss prevention and visual standards are met.

You should be hands-on, KPI‑driven, and able to work flexibly across a 7‑day rota including weekends and holidays. A background in retail leadership and proficiency with POS, inventory systems, and MS Office will help you

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail teams or acting as a keyholder.
• Proven ability to drive KPI results.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible to work 7-day shift pattern, weekends and holidays.

About The Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations. This role is a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational management. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader who can step in wherever needed to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets performance goals.

We're Looking For Someone With

• Previous experience in retail leadership, supervisory, or keyholder roles preferred.
• Comfortable in driving KPI's and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong communication and Solid organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work a 7‑day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.
