Job summary

GAIL's is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager in London to lead shifts, manage teams through busy periods and drive bakery performance while delivering the exceptional customer experiences we are known for.

You will help develop your team on the shop floor, support recruitment and onboarding of future Team Leaders, and partner with the Bakery Manager to maintain safety, quality and standards across the bakery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in hospitality, retail or another customer-focused environment.
• Confident leader who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions and driving results.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and create an environment where teams can perform at their best.
• Coach, develop and inspire Breadheads every day.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and the development of future Team Leaders and Head Crafters.
• Take ownership of key operational areas, driving improvements and delivering results.
• Use bakery performance data to understand trends, spot opportunities and improve performance.
• Championing exceptional standards across food, coffee, availability and customer experience.
• Create memorable customer moments and build loyalty within your local community.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and bakery presentation.
• Work in partnership with the Bakery Manager to deliver a successful, high-performing bakery while developing the skills needed to one day lead your own.

At GAIL's, our Assistant Bakery Managers are trusted leaders. They take ownership on the floor, lead teams through busy trading periods, drive bakery performance and help create the exceptional customer experiences we're known for.
