Williams Trade Supplies Ltd, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Chichester branch. The role involves leading daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring stock integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing/heating merchants, builders' merchants or wholesalers is a plus.
• Experience in retail or trade counter environments is desirable.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Updating and maintaining displays, branch upkeep, and product availability.
• Support the Branch Manager in attracting and retaining customers.
• Assist with day-to-day leadership of the team.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
• Undertake stock checks and apply control measures.
• Carry out daily administrative duties, such as banking.
• Ensure safe operation and use of the warehouse.
• Receive, check and store incoming goods.
• Build relationships with suppliers and reps.

Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 40 /week MON-FRI 08:30-17:00 / 07:00-15:30 ROTA *NO WEEKENDS!

Here at Williams , an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we're looking for an Assistant Manager to join our busy and friendly team in Chichester !

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants , builders' merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, Hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade , we would LOVE to hear from you!

As an Assistant Manager, you'll be:

• Updating and maintaining displays, branch upkeep, and availability of merchandise.
• Supporting the Branch Manager in maintaining and attracting new customers.
• Supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day leadership of the team.
• Delivering outstanding customer service both in-person and over the phone.
• Undertaking stock checks and employing control measures.
• Undertaking daily administrative duties, such as banking.
• Ensuring safe operation and use of the warehouse.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Building relationships with suppliers and reps.
