RSD Recruitment Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established builders' merchant for an Assistant Branch Manager to support the day-to-day running of the branch. You will lead a team, drive sales and ensure outstanding customer service.

The role suits someone with experience in builders' or plumbing/electrical trade environments, who can recruit, coach and develop staff while working with the Branch Manager to achieve profitability and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in builders' merchant, plumbing merchant, electrical wholesale or similar trade environment.
• Experience in supervisory, team leader or assistant management position.
• Proven ability to drive sales growth while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and supporting colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with trade and retail customers.
• Experience managing or supporting a sales office, purchasing and stock control function.

About You

You'll be a motivated and commercially minded leader who enjoys developing people as much as delivering results.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous experience within a builders' merchant, plumbing merchant, electrical wholesale or similar trade environment.
• Experience in a supervisory, team leader or assistant management position.
• A proven ability to drive sales growth while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and supporting colleagues to achieve their full potential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both trade and retail customers.

The Role
