Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking an Assistant Manager at the Old Gate Inn, part of Vintage Inns. You will support the General Manager, lead the team, and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a warm, cosy pub setting.

You will mentor staff, drive service excellence, and contribute to a welcoming, team-oriented environment across a charming rural pub group.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading a hospitality team.
• Strong communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Train and inspire the team to deliver excellent guest experience.
• Mentor team members and drive development.
• Lead the team to WOW guests and encourage repeat visits.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING? AS ASSISTANT MANAGER YOU'LL…

• Use your management experience to support the General Manager in the day to day running of the business, being the Duty Manager when they are not around.
• Use your communication skills to train and inspire your team to deliver food, drink, and service to be proud of.
• Be the role model and guide development within your team.
