Job summary

VervLife in Harrogate is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to support monthly management accounts, collaborating with the Management Accountant, Finance Director and operations teams.

The role requires 1–2 years of accounts experience, and candidates should be actively studying for a qualification or nearing AAT level 4, with proficiency in Xero and Navision.

We offer a study package after probation; Enhanced DBS clearance is required before starting.

Qualifications

• Actively studying for an accountancy qualification or in the latter stages of AAT level 4 or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of Accounts experience.
• Proficient in finance software; Xero and Navision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce Monthly Financial packs for clients and property managers.
• Maintain control schedules, timetables, and ensure policy compliance.
• Handle invoicing, prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in delivering annual budgets for clients within deadlines.
• Support internal audits and respond to accounting queries.
