Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a well-established organisation in York. You will support the preparation of management accounts across multiple entities within the group.

This is a full-time, office-based role requiring meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills. The position offers exposure to VAT, fixed assets, reconciliations, and audit support within a supportive finance team.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 qualification (essential) or working towards AAT Level 4.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Stock accounting and reconciliation
• Debtor and creditor reporting
• Fixed asset management and accounting
• Preparation and monitoring of accruals and prepayments

Location: Office-Based Position: Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established organisation in York. Working You will play a key role in supporting the preparation of management accounts across multiple entities within the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Stock accounting and reconciliation
• Debtor and creditor reporting
• Fixed asset management and accounting

Skills & Experience Required

• AAT Level 4 qualification or working towards AAT Level 4 (essential)

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
