Job summary

CMD Recruitment is recruiting for an Assistant Maintenance Engineer in Andover. The role focuses on supporting the maintenance and efficient operation of a range of machinery and systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic components.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and support preventative tasks. Applicants should have 4+ years in maintenance engineering, strong mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

  • 4 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Good experience of machinery maintenance and fault finding.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety regulations within a maintenance environment.
  • A proactive and practical approach to problem-solving.
  • A full, clean driving licence, as occasional travel between two sites will be required.

Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £30,000 per annum

Location: Andover

Full time and Permanent

Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-3pm

I have been requested by our Client, a well-established specialist manufacturer supplying protective equipment into the Military, Police, and Security sectors, to recruit an Assistant Maintenance Engineer to join their team and play an important role in keeping a wide range of machinery and equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The Role

As an Assistant Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and efficient operation of a diverse range of machinery and systems, including steam boiler heating systems and hydraulic presses.
