Job summary

ATA Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor in Pershore to lead a motivated engineering team, drive reliability and ensure smooth site operations.

You will manage planned and reactive maintenance on conveyors, pumps and gearboxes, with basic electrical capabilities, while applying continuous improvement and using a CMMS tablet-based PPM system. The role includes training opportunities and progression within a stable, respected company.

Qualifications

• Time-served or apprenticeship or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in utilities, recycling or water treatment is desirable.
• Electrical awareness and mechanical fault-finding with root-cause focus.
• Compliance and strong health & safety awareness.
• Team leadership or supervisory capabilities and proactive communication.
• Able to manage parts, permits to work, and subcontractors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a maintenance team to ensure reliable site operations.
• Plan and perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Oversee conveyors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, belts and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain safety standards, issue permits to work and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Utilise CMMS for maintenance planning and tablet-based PPM logging.

Location: Pershore

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 (DOE)

Shift Pattern: Double Days - Monday to Friday

About the Role

You'll become part of a supportive engineering team where training, development and career progression are genuinely encouraged.

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of equipment and supervisor and motivate the maintenance team to ensure efficient of site operations.

Leading and working as part of a team of engineers, responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance and service of equipment on site, as well as continuous improvement tasks.

• Mechanically - replacing worn out parts on the conveyors which will include rollers, bearings and pulleys.
• Working on Pumps, Valves, Screws, Gearboxes, Shafts, Belts, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
• Swapping mechanical components like for like as well as strip and rebuild project,
• Basic electrical capabilities and being safety aware
• Ensuring compliance, issuing permits to work, ordering parts and dealing with subcontractors
• Working with latest technology working with a CMMS utilising the tablet-based PPM and reactive work

The Candidate

To be considered and sucessful for this role, you should have, but not limiting to

• Time-served or Apprenticiship or NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working within the Utilities, Recycling, Water Treatment industry
• Electrical awareness and Mechanical Fault-Finding skills, looking at Root Cause Analysis and Continous improvement.
• Compliance awareness and strong health and safety awarness
• Team leadership or supervisory capabilities, Proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
