Job summary

Housing 21 in Lowestoft seeks an Assistant Local Housing Manager to support the Local Housing Manager in delivering a high quality housing and support service to residents. The role focuses on tenancy sustainment, resident wellbeing and building safety, while engaging with residents and the local community to address local issues.

Hours are 35 per week, with a nine-day fortnight option and a customer‑facing role emphasising accessibility and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Excellent standard of reading, writing and numeracy.
• Experience in the social housing sector, particularly with a focus on older people (desirable).
• Knowledge and/or experience of the issues faced by older people or other vulnerable groups in particular Dementia, drug & alcohol use and mental health (desirable).
• CIH Level 3 or 4 (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist and deputise for the Local Housing Manager in all aspects of court life and relationships with the local community.
• Support residents to enable independent living with tenancy sustainment and wellbeing focus.
• Help ensure the building is safe and secure and engage with residents and community to address local issues.
