Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking an Assistant Local Housing Manager for Matilda Court in Crewe, Cheshire. This person will support the Local Housing Manager in providing housing and resident wellbeing services within a retirement living scheme.

The role focuses on tenancy sustainment, engagement with residents and the local community, and ensuring a safe, secure environment. Experience in social housing for older people is valued, with flexible, customer‑focused delivery.

Qualifications

• Excellent reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• Experience in the social housing sector, particularly with older people (desirable).
• Knowledge of dementia, drug & alcohol use and mental health (desirable).
• CIH Level 3 or 4 (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Assist and deputise for the Local Housing Manager in all aspects of court life.
• Support residents to enable independent living, tenancy sustainment and wellbeing.
• Engage with residents and the local community; help residents reach consensus on local issues.
• Help ensure the building is safe and secure and maintain positive relationships with residents.
