Boston Tea Party is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to help lead one of our kitchens in Bath. This daytime role focuses on great food and steady leadership, with scope to grow into a kitchen of your own.

You'll work with the Kitchen Manager to run services, develop the team and maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness. If you care about quality and people, this is your next step in hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Lead services and keep the kitchen moving during busy periods.

We’re looking for a brilliant Assistant Kitchen Manager to help lead one of our Boston Tea Party kitchens.

This is a role for someone who loves being in the kitchen but is ready for more — more responsibility, more opportunity to lead and more chance to develop the people around them.

You'll work closely with your Kitchen Manager, helping run great services, maintaining brilliant standards and learning everything you need to eventually lead a kitchen of your own.

And because we're a daytime café business, you can build your career in food without giving up your evenings.

What you'll be doing

You'll be a key part of the kitchen leadership team, helping take ownership of your people, your food and your standards.

That means you'll:

• Lead great services and keep the kitchen moving when things get busy.

• Cook alongside your team and make sure every plate leaving the kitchen is something we're proud of.

• Support, coach and develop the chefs around you.

• Step up and take ownership when your Kitchen Manager isn't there.

• Help maintain brilliant food safety, cleanliness and kitchen standards.

• Learn the commercial side of running a kitchen, including stock, ordering, labour and waste.

• Help welcome and train new Good Eggs into the kitchen.

• Work closely with the wider café team to deliver a brilliant experience for our guests.

• Keep learning, asking questions and building the skills to lead your own kitchen one day.

Who we're looking for

You might already be an Assistant Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef, or perhaps you're a strong Chef de Partie who's ready to take your first step into leadership.

You don't need to arrive knowing how to run an entire kitchen.

That's what we'll help you learn.
