Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking a committed individual to support the Into Work Advice Service. You will help develop externally funded employability projects and oversee staff to ensure high standards of service across Cardiff.

You will liaise with partners, engage with hard-to-reach groups, and contribute to community events while producing reports and updates for funding bodies. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer care skills to join our Into Work Advice Service Team.

Into Work Advice Service provides employment support for people across Cardiff. We have many bespoke projects specifically aimed at 16-24 year olds, giving them the advice, guidance and support required to successfully transition into employment or training.

About the job

The successful applicant will assist the Into Work Coordinator (Youth) with developing and managing externally funded employability projects.

The successful applicant will have direct line management responsibility; ensuring staff are supported to deliver a high standard of service.

The role will include liaising with partner organisations and key stakeholders with the aim of increasing referrals and engaging with hard to reach individuals.

The role will involve developing and implementing community engagement events throughout the year.

What We Are Looking For From You

The successful applicant will have experience of working in an employability background. The successful applicant will have experience of compiling reports, analysing data and ensuring services are distributed to meet the needs across the city.

You will have experience of managing a team dispersed across the city.

You will have experience of participating in local and regional networks with the aim of promoting the service and providing reports to funding bodies.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to differing situations.

Evening and weekend working may be required.
