Job description


We are working with a leading management consultancy firm, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant HR Manager on a fixed term basis until the end of the year. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to play a key role in supporting a high-performing, dynamic business environment, with a strong employee relations focus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily HR support and guidance to management and key stakeholders advising on policy and best practice.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases end-to-end, from low level performance issues through to complex issues, such as grievances and disciplinaries.
  • Deliver coaching to managers on all employee relations matters and support policy application.
  • Drive continuous improvement of employee relations policies and procedures acting as an escalation point for junior colleagues.
  • Support flexible working requests and appeal processes comprehensively.
  • Update and maintain company HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, maintaining documentation and trackers of ER cases

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Prior experience as an HR Business Partner or Employee Relations Specialist
  • Extensive experience managing complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience in professional services is highly desirable; candidates from other large-scale corporate environments will also be considered.
  • Confident communication style with the ability to build trusted partnerships with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver an excellent service mitigating any risk.
