Job summary

M Group Highways is hiring for a highways design-focused role based in the UK. You will assist in designing packages for highways assets and contribute to project outcomes through technical reporting and site surveys.

Join a team delivering planned and reactive maintenance, working within a safety-first environment and collaborating with customers to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

• Design and construction experience in highways sector.
• Knowledge of National Highways standards (DMRB & MCDHW).
• Willingness to work in other UK offices for short-term assignments.

• Produce technical reports and outputs to achieve project outcomes.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and investigations.
• Ensure work complies with QSE standards and processes.
• Provide technical training/supervision of Technicians.

What you'll be doing

• Assist with undertaking of designs and producing design packages for construction on highways assets including carriageway, footways, signs and safety barrier.
• Produce technical reports and other technical output to achieve project outcomes
• Undertake site visits, surveys and investigations
• Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with QSE standards and processes
• Technical training / supervision of Technicians
• Working collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives

What you'll bring

• Design and construction experience within the highways sector
• Commercial awareness on the delivery of projects
• Knowledge of National Highways standards including DMRB & MCDHW
• Awareness of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
• Computer literate design software and Microsoft packages;
• Competent user of AutoCAD & Civils 3D (desirable)
• Willingness to work in other UK offices for short term assignments
• UK/EEC driving licence.
