Job summary

M Group Highways is recruiting a Highway Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. You’ll contribute to designing and producing design packages for highways assets, while ensuring compliance with DMRB, MCDHW and QSE standards.

You’ll undertake site visits, produce technical reports, and collaborate with clients to define project objectives. The role offers opportunities to work across UK offices, support career development and be part of a safety-first, customer-centric and values-driven

Qualifications

• Design and construction experience within the highways sector
• Knowledge of National Highways standards including DMRB & MCDHW
• Awareness of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
• Willingness to work in other UK offices for short term assignments
• UK/EEC driving licence

Responsibilities

• Assist with undertaking of designs and producing design packages for construction on highways assets including carriageway, footways, signs and safety barrier
• Produce technical reports and other technical output to achieve project outcomes
• Undertake site visits, surveys and investigations
• Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with QSE standards and processes
• Technical training / supervision of Technicians
• Working collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives

What you'll be doing

What you'll bring

• Design and construction experience within the highways sector
• Commercial awareness on the delivery of projects
• Knowledge of National Highways standards including DMRB & MCDHW
• Awareness of Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
• Computer literate design software and Microsoft packages;
• Competent user of AutoCAD & Civils 3D (desirable)
• Willingness to work in other UK offices for short term assignments
• UK/EEC driving licence.
