Job summary

Aspris is seeking an Assistant Headteacher to provide strategic leadership across safeguarding, behaviour and attendance in a specialist ASC setting. The role sits on the Senior Leadership Team and focuses on promoting inclusive practices, wellbeing and high educational standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the SENDCo and wider SEN team to strengthen capacity and support personalised learning for every pupil.

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) leadership qualifications considered.
• Experience leading behaviour, safeguarding and attendance initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation, policies and best practices.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, parents/carers, external agencies and students.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across behaviour, attendance and safeguarding.
• Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, promoting high pastoral standards.
• Lead and develop approaches to inclusion, wellbeing and personal development.
• Work with the SENDCo and SEN team to strengthen capacity and impact.
