Job summary

Tottington High School is seeking an inspirational Assistant Headteacher to join the leadership team and drive attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and school development. You will work with the Headteacher and senior colleagues to manage day-to-day operations and deliver strategic priorities.

The role requires strategic and collaborative leadership, strong commitment to safeguarding and a passion for teaching and learning, with responsibility for policy development and leading on improvement

Qualifications

• Champion safeguarding and student wellbeing with a safe, inclusive school community.
• Contribute to strategic direction and drive school improvement initiatives.
• Lead on policy development and implementation to support effective practices.
• Manage identified staff and resources to achieve priorities.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress using evidence to drive improvement.
• Maintain a timetabled teaching commitment and model high standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, students and the wider community to promote a positive culture.
• Undertake additional leadership responsibilities delegated by the Headteacher.

Responsibilities
