Job summary

Coventry Alternative Provision Academy seeks an inspiring Assistant Headteacher to lead intervention programs and inclusion strategies across its dual-site provision. You will work with the Headteacher to design bespoke student support and champion outstanding personal development and behaviour, while guiding a dedicated staff team.

You will also oversee safeguarding as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, using data-driven insights to improve outcomes and engaging families and external partners

Qualifications

• QTS-qualified practitioner with strong leadership experience in inclusion or pastoral roles.
• Proven track record delivering improved student outcomes and behaviour support.
• Excellent communication skills with families, agencies and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead Intervention Programs and Inclusion strategies across dual-site CAPA.
• Collaborate with Headteacher to shape school improvement plans and staff development.
• Oversee safeguarding responsibilities and lead data-driven safeguarding initiatives.
