Job summary

Keys Education is seeking an Assistant Headteacher at Snow Hill School in Stoke-on-Trent. You will lead curriculum development, support teaching quality, and champion pupil achievement for students including those with SEND.

A 0.2 teaching commitment is included and collaboration with senior leaders and external partners is essential. The role requires Qualified Teacher Status and NPQSL or equivalent, with a focus on evidence-informed practice, safeguarding, and staff development to drive high

Strong leadership and curriculum development experience.
Deep understanding of curriculum design and assessment.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
Ability to lead, motivate, and support teaching staff.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of a curriculum for complex needs and SEND.
Collaborate with senior leaders, staff, parents and external agencies to meet pupils’ needs.
Embed trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches in teaching practise.
Use data to identify gaps and drive targeted interventions to raise attainment.
Coach subject leaders and teaching staff through training and best practice sharing.
Ensure compliance with Independent School Standards and health and safety regulations.
