Job summary

Keys Education is seeking an Assistant Headteacher for Snow Hill School in Stoke-on-Trent to lead curriculum development, teaching quality, and pupil achievement, including those with complex needs, while modelling Keys Group EPIC values.

The role collaborates with senior leaders, staff, and external partners, embedding trauma-informed approaches and ensuring compliance with Independent School Standards. 0.2 teaching is incorporated into duties.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status required with leadership qualification NPQSL or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading curriculum development and improving teaching quality.
• Deep understanding of curriculum design, assessment, and evidence-informed teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Model professional integrity and high behaviour standards per Staff Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with senior leaders, staff, parents, and external agencies to meet pupils' needs.
• Embed trauma-informed approaches in curriculum delivery and teaching practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of an accessible, engaging curriculum for pupils with complex needs and SEND.
• Ensure statutory curriculum requirements are met and core subjects are delivered effectively.
• Use data to identify gaps and lead targeted interventions to improve pupil outcomes.
