Job summary

Bradford Beacon School in England is seeking an Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour to join at the start of its journey and shape a thriving, inclusive school community. You will lead the behaviour strategy and champion positive inclusion for pupils with complex needs.

Reporting to the Headteacher, you will develop staff, monitor wellbeing data and collaborate with families and external partners to ensure safeguarding and high standards from day one.

Qualifications

• QTS and a recognised degree with NPQSL or equivalent leadership qualification.
• Proven leadership experience in SEN or inclusive education.
• Experience using data to inform decision-making and whole-school improvement.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff.
• Strong communication with pupils, families and professionals.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Lead the school’s behaviour strategy, embedding a culture of inclusion and high expectations.
• Develop positive behaviour approaches that enable pupils with SEND to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
• Monitor behaviour, attendance and wellbeing data to drive early intervention and improvement.
• Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the school.
• Lead, coach and inspire staff to deliver outstanding practice.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families, external agencies and the multidisciplinary team.
• Champion safeguarding and ensure welfare and voice of every pupil.
