Job summary

Idsall School in Shifnal, England, is seeking an Assistant Headteacher: Behaviour and Attitudes Lead to provide strategic leadership for behaviour, attendance, personal development and school culture.

You will lead systems, line-manage pastoral teams and work with families and external agencies to drive improvements in behaviour and attitudes, ensuring every student is known, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for behaviour, attitudes, attendance and personal development across the school.
• Lead, line-manage and develop the school's behaviour and pastoral systems with high standards of conduct and wellbeing.
• Oversee the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the school’s behaviour policy.
• Collaborate with pastoral leaders, teaching staff and external agencies to support vulnerable students.
• Lead on attendance improvement strategies and monitor trends for punctuality.
• Utilise data to evaluate effectiveness and inform strategic planning.
• Champion an inclusive culture with positive attitudes to learning and belonging.
• Engage with parents, carers and external professionals to remove barriers to achievement.
• Contribute to safeguarding and wider strategic leadership of the school.
