Job summary

St. John’s C of E Middle School Academy in Bromsgrove is seeking an outstanding Assistant Headteacher to lead behaviour, attendance, mental health and wellbeing as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

The post includes Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibilities, Pupil Leadership oversight and line management of staff, with a strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Experience of senior leadership in a UK school.
• Ability to lead behaviour, attendance, mental health and wellbeing.
• Experience as DDSL or safeguarding lead.
• Strong data use for improvement.
• Excellent communication with staff, pupils and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-school behaviour strategy and restorative practice.
• Oversee attendance systems and early help initiatives.
• Develop mental health and wellbeing strategies and staff training.
• Support safeguarding as DDSL and maintain records.
• Develop pupil leadership and oversee prefect system.
