Job summary

MorePeople is recruiting an Assistant Grower to support the day-to-day management of commercial protected crops. You will help optimise plant health, productivity and quality, monitor crops, manage irrigation and nutrition, and contribute to yield forecasting and crop registrations.

You will work closely with experienced growers, using advanced growing technology and data to drive decisions, while developing your own skills and progressing toward a Grower role in the longer term.

Qualifications

• Experience in protected cropping or nursery production.
• Strong organisational and planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management of commercial protected crops.
• Monitor crop health, irrigation and nutrition management.
• Support yield forecasting and crop registration.
• Assist with pest and disease assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the operation to deliver growing plans.
